I’ve just upgraded this blog from WordPress 2.0.4 to 2.3.3 using the Fantastico script library. Yes, I know it’s not the latest WordPress version but that’s the latest version offered to me from Fantastico on my hosting account.

I got a heads-up from Zaiful Zin recently on a very good news for Malaysians. Malaysians have in the past been going through all hoops and loops in getting their funds out of PayPal.
The legit way for Malaysians to withdraw funds from their PayPal account is only to a US bank account; but now Malaysians have another option!

I stumbled upon this blog post by Azrin. It mentions about PayPal no longer accepting Virtual Money Debit cards to fund and activate withdrawal process.
PAYPAL States that Virtual Money Debit cards are no longer accepted to be used to FUND and ACTIVATE WITHDRAWAL PROCESS. In other words, your SOUTHWEST BANK or TOMATO BANK *(ACCEND Visa) can no LONGER BE USED to withdraw funds to.

I didn’t pay much attention to it earlier. I should have… it’s Text Link Ads (TLA). The ads are in the form of paid text links embedded within a site.
To date, I’ve gotten a little over $320 in total from Text Link Ads within the last few months of this year. This is from a software development-related site of mine.

Guess who’s at the top of the search engine result page for the keyword “John Chow” on Google.com.my? Malaysian blogger LiewCF! In fact, his blog post on John Chow got him to positions #1 and #2 in the SERPs. John Chow is no where on page one. This has probably got to do with JohnChow.com’s demotion from the search engine ranks in Google recently and the fact that the .my version of Google does indeed have a localized slant.
